The sense of hearing is one of very important senses of our life. Sense of hearing not only provides joy of sound in our life but also an important prerequisite for speech and language development in children.
Hearing impairment in children can leads to disruption in their speech and language development and in adults can leads to memory difficulties, feeling of frustration, less social interaction and confused.
Helping children to communicate
Learn to speak and talk is foundation of communication. Children use their words to form sentences and use them to communicate verbally. Most of the children learn to speak and communicate spontaneously however some children have difficulty developing speech.
Delayed and disordered speech disrupts verbal communication. Children are left out from mainstream group.
Abhyas - A learning centre for autism and special need children
Abhyas is an endeavour to provide a nurturing and learning place for autism, children with intellectual disabilities and special need children. Abhyas is inspired by real experience of having a special need child in family.
Digital Hearing Aids
These hearing aids consist a box and which can clipped in front pocket or on cloth. A cord is attached to hearing aid transmits the sound to the receiver. The receiver is attached to a ear piece/ear mould which holds in place.
BTE hearing aid is worn behind the ear over the pinna. The hearing aid picks up sound, amplifies it and carries the amplified sound to an ear mold that fits inside your ear canal. This style of hearing aid is most widely worn.
